No Good Deed Goes Unpunished...

Last Sunday I stopped by my friend's house to bring her a little treat because she was feeling down. After saying goodbye and running down the stairs, I had a moment...

Trip! Splat! Swear!

So much for my new, white $3 Walmart shirt--driveway marks all over the sleeve.

My friend couldn't stop laughing--oh, she tried, but she failed. I just wanted to write her a Thank You note and let her know how I am doing:

Dear Karen,

I am doing fine after the nasty trip and fall on your property. I’m glad you liked the cookies.Thank you for your friendship and concern. I have learned many things from you:

1. Your driveway is hard and unforgiving
2. You were too late with the helmet
3. No good deed goes unpunished
4. The brownies were delicious
5. A true friend lies in the driveway with you until you can get up
6. At least I didn’t lose any teeth (which means my super powers are still intact)

P.S. What are the limits on your homeowners’ policy?

A couple of photos for your scrapbook:

I just left my comments on facebook...I am in shock! No...that's an understatement for how I feel. I think I'm having a delayed reaction to your photos! You must have been running at the speed of light, double (maybe triple) tuck, into a spread eagle-anticipating a graceful landing, only to change your mind at the last split second deciding to land like the rest of middle aged female population would...looking more like you've been hit by a MAC truck! I cannot believe it! What are people saying?

oh no! That must have been quite the landing!

What the H?

I think tripping and falling at Karen's is merely a cover story. You've taken up karate again haven't you. HAVEN'T YOU! Without me? Your seeing sensai (what was his name again? Evil man?) on the sly and then you are going to show us all your amazing kumatay powers.

Stupid cement stairs

You must be a make-up artist, on-the-side, side. When you visited me at my house for lunch, last week, the bruising was barely visible. If I would have know how bad it was. I would have had Joseph personally escort you to your car. I'm sure my sidewalks and driveway are more uneven and cracked then your good friend you visited, unless she lives in a 100 year-old house too, in Ogden, where a person has to literally walk with their head down. This is to avoid tripping or sustaining the type of injuries you did.

oh my!! Wow! I thought this Teri was clumsy! I think that extra r is what did it! ;-)
Now I have to ask, the pics were not doctored? That hurt to look at, but I have to agree it was a good hair day when you took the pics :)

Without diminishing my pain--yes, I doctored the photos a bit with blue and brown eyeshadow. I wanted Karen to feel really really bad and maybe bring me more brownies!!! I'm doing great now!
